~Disphotic my film account
~SakeofProgress my photo a day project
Havent done a journal for a bit, so time for an update.
The last term and a bit have been utterly mental, Ive done more photography than I care to remember, and Im loving it. As such Ive also decided to clear out my dA account a bit, so Ive been purging some rubbish photos, old film shots (which will still be around on my film account ~Disphotic) and getting rid of quite a few old drawings. Sorry if youve favourited one of them, but I think itll make my gallery more consistent and less spammy.
Ive been working on a fairly major solo photo project for the last month or two, and started shooting it about a week ago. Its a study of students involved in the arts at Warwick university, musicians, writers, performers, artists, photographers, and its all set to end with an exhibition towards the end of the year which should be pretty exciting. Some nice people even gave me rather a lot of money to help with it. Its got me really interested in doing more large scale projects, although I might try a collaboration on the next one.
I also finished my photo a day project. I took a photo everyday from January 1st to December 31st 2008, which you can see over at ~SakeofProgress. I decided to keep going with it, since Im shooting so much anyway its not much effort to pick out a photo every day and add it, and it makes a nice diary of the past year. Try it yourself!
Occasionally I remember that Im meant to be doing a history degree, and find myself sitting in the library as I am now supposedly reviewing a biography of Martin Luther. In those situations, I think the best thing you can do is to grab your camera, jump out the window and hit the ground running
